Kiwanis Officers Installed Kiwanis Lieut. Gov. W. Stanley Moore ISI Morganton installed the officers^# the Tryon Kiwanis Club Tuesday at Oak Hall hotel. He outlined briefly the duties of each officer, commended the club for its record of achievement and urged full support for the Kiwanis theme for the coming year—Build Through Faith, Service and Loyal ty to all those things that make for a better community and nation. Past Lieut. Gov. Sig Westmore land of Marion was also present and introduced the Division Of ficer. J. Lee Lavender, M. C. Holt houser and Tommy Patrick re ported on their distribution of baskets to various families during Christmas. Rupert Koch of Hendersonvile, John McGuire of New York and Major C. W. McCall of Fort Sam Houston, Texag, were guests of the club.. Mr. and- Mrs. James Pace and children, Jimmy and Gregg of Durham are visiting Mr. Pace’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. G. Lotan Pace and other relatives. . Mr. and Mrs. Walter M. Brent have returned to their home in Tryon after spending the holi days in the Bast with their daugh ter, Mrs. James Johnson and fam ily.
